I love working in Photoshop with my old Wacom tablet. 

During my time as a student, I submitted my picture book ideas to the Macmillan Children's Book Prize each year. I was thrilled to win the second twice! After graduating, I was overjoyed to receive a two-picture book deal from the publisher. 

I’m unable to work with self-published authors because of my busy schedule.

There's actually no need to submit any artwork with your writing; a brief description in the manuscript will suffice. Publishers typically like to select their own illustrators.

If you’re passionate about creating illustrations and can’t imagine doing anything else, keep pushing your creativity! Keep making artwork and showcase it on social media.
